Michael is an award winning film, commercials and music video director. His work has been recognised the globe over. His films and music videos have played renowned festivals in the USA, South America and Europe. He has been awarded best director at the South African Independent Film Festival, Best Director (Gold) at the Promax Awards, Best Music Video at the BAFTA qualifying Aesthetica Film Festival. He has been awarded a BEST IN CRAFT as well as a CRAFT MENTION by IDIDTHAT for his directing work in the realm of commercials.
Michael has a deep understanding of story and the technicalities in all aspects of filmmaking, having received a MA in Filmmaking (Distinction) from the Raindance Film Foundation (UK) where he was mentored by a number of BAFTA winning filmmakers.
